Male & Female snowboard bindings, whats the difference?

My partner is looking to replace her bindings and I was wondering how come there are male and female bindings? The boots and bindings appear pretty much the same except the ladies get different colour schemes. She has spotted a nice pair of Burtons but the shop only has the male binding in stock and the assistant didn’t seem to know. Thanks

Female bindings are smaller and softer than men’s bindings. That’s because women have smaller feet and they weight less. Pretty much all female equipment is just a bit smaller and softer than men’s. But, women’s boots are designed to fit the female foot better.
