Chapelco, a magic forest snow

This wonderful ski resort is 21 kilometers from the picturesque and beautiful city of San Martín of the Andes, into the mountains Chapelco and with the forests in the middle of the ski slopes, so you can ski between the trees covered with lichens, as veils that decorate the snow.

One of the main attractions are its Chapelco ski slopes and the lift car, for six passengers, amounting to 1600 meters. There are eleven other lifts to all ski resorts in the mountains.

Chapelco also has an excellent starting point, where visitors can find the best restaurants with exquisite Patagonian, shops, ski and snowboard rental equipment, pharmacy and a free parking area. There is also a kindergarten for children from 3 months to 6 years of age.

The skiing is not just the perfect place for skiing in any of their styles or walking in the snow. Chapelco also has a snowboard park located at the top of the mountain, with all the bumps and obstacles necessary for the parallel slalom, big air, half pipe, among others.

The mountain offers the ideal excuse to enjoy the food, counting three excellent restaurants, and restaurants of nearby hotels. The restaurant La Base has a warm atmosphere with two fireplaces and capacity for 240 passengers. La Abuela Café Goye distinguished by their delicious pastries, tea and sandwiches and 1,600 meters above sea level, is the restaurant Antulauquen, with a variety of menus and the best view of the mountain, 400.

Chapelco has many entertainment, not only in winter time. During the summer there are canopy, mountain bike in a bike park, mini golf court, archery, horseback riding and Andean exciting slide that descends 800 meters 1700 meters, through ski track Pioneers.

Other activities for the more adventurous are hiking, quad quads mini circuit paths in the forest goes through networks and bridges in the trees and climbing the volcano Lanin and Villarrica Lake Lacar and Choshuenco Chilean volcanoes.
