Can I paint a helmet with Krylon Paint?
I recently bought a bern ski/snowboarding helmet. I got it cheap because its a little scuffed up, so i figured I’d paint over it.
My plan is to put down a net over the helmet and then paint it, so there is a sort of checkerboard pattern. I have heard great things about Krylon Paint, but I’m not sure if it will work, and i cant sand down the helmet, because that would compromise the safety of it. Any suggestions?
I’d go right ahead and try it. What is to lose? If it doesn’t work out let it dry and try again some other way. Perhaps an extra layer of paint will even enhance the helmets protection rating.
Personal, I have total confidence in Krylon paint and products. Whatever is used in the military, is good enough for me. They use it on jets, tanks, and things.
